What I really want to know is how hot that studio actually is?

Many will know my room is painted in the same colours and It's always swealtering in here. I mean they must have 2/3 PC's in there. Lights, Plasmas. It must be roasting unless they've got some might air conn. going on in there. And I mean mighty, having my window opened right out only just helps cool the place down.

In the radio studio where I used to work, there was no air conditioning for the first 2 months, and this was in the middle of July and August.

The studio had two PC's running, 2 playout servers and a main back-up server. Plus there was the halogen lights in the ceiling, on the walls etc - I'm surprised there wasnt one up my arse!

It was roasting in that studio. I remember being on air very often in just my shorts and trainers. I recorded a top temperature of 40 degrees in there once. Finally air con arrived and it was lush - like working inside a cool fridge. Smile

I wish my captures were that good! how do you do them edward?

buying a good tv card - along with a good capturing program - www.dscaler.com - but make sure your tv card's compatible. And have a good computer, as DScaler is very computer intensive. Problem is that recording is very buggy - instead I use InterVideo WinDVR 3.

Hasn't most of the problems with BBC News 24 been with the air conditioning system?

They've been doing that for a good while now. Once upon a time it used to come from the second set, and be more than just a quick update. They should do them more often.

What - they've been doing it with all the fancy graphics I described, including the use of the brand new ticker??????

Anyone else see the ticker used for the travel news?

Throught I'd drag this back up instead of making a new one.

I've been watching N24 this afternoon to see their Columbia coverage and News 24 is looking a little different.

Have they been moving their cameras because some of the shots appear to have a new angle on them, Can't quite put my finger on whether this is it or not but when they were doing the sport earlier on the shot they had with the Plasma and present just looked different than normal.

Ian.
