Oh My God.
I thought they couldn't make them any worse.
I was wrong.
Is it now turning into a competition between Sky and the BBC to see who can fit more red on the screen during breaking news?
Remind me - is this the same BBC that said, only a few months ago, it had to stop looking at Sky and start focusing on itself? Clearly they couldn't avoid one final peek.

New presenters? New news agenda?
Because it'll still be an absolute joke if all they're planning to do change is the graphics and not address the fundamental problems with the channel.

i dont think there is anything wrong with the majority of the presenters on news 24.
some are awful - joanna gosling, liz pike, matthew wollydooda, phillip thomas.
no, i'd hate to see another sky news clone. if that means news 24 wont be as popular then i'd rather loose that factor.

Right, so essentially what you're saying is "I think on every shift there is a bad presenter".
From memory, Gosling is morning, Pyke is afternoon, Amroliwala is evening and Thomas is night time.
I have only seen Phillipa Thomas a couple of times on the channel, but from what I saw she was funny and managed to laugh off the frequent errors on the channel. Surely a first for just about any News 24 presenter.
I find most of them unwatchable, and juding by the audience figures so do most other people.

Ou-arr I like that too, it's a kind of a softer red and goes pretty easy on my eyes, c@t and mdta, hush up unless you have anything other to do then go "tut, tut I dislike News 24 and its presentation",- you have both aired your views plenty of times before, nobody here is hearing anything new- if you don't like the channel, don't watch it, simple as that

This is a quick mock up of some slight tweaks they could easily do to adopt the ticker and keep the style they have!
Quick ticker ideas
The last two images need a quick explanation. When news breaks the ticker flashes with just "Breaking News" scrolling accross for about a minute, then the ticker returns to normal and the Breaking News DOG appears beneath the Main Dog and Clock...

indeed - it looks horrid on screen although I'm sure it toned down between the first time and the next.
Those mocks are quite nice. The transparent dark red might look odd on outside shots though. (and your preview page is not standards compliant)
