Did anyone watch the BBC News 24 bulletin at 5pm today? They had the countdown and headlines, but no ident! It just had a beat at the end. Peter Coe looked a little surprised!

Also, this morning, they used the BBC News 24 Overnight headline bed - my favourite one!

I always thought that this overnight stuff (as regards sounds/idents) was just the same as the World stuff - there must be subtle differences. I haven't really paid much attention to the overnight headline bed - how different is it? Also, the prog intro used (the anim with the globe) - is that just the World intro?

the overnight n24 headline bed is similar to world but it is much faster with no thunderclaps seperating the headlines. the ident is the world news ident.
