News 24

So Sky news has finally managed to get its finger out and re-launch itself after many many many many months. So what does this mean for News 24? Over the last few weeks there have been a few new graphics - very classy - and now apparently a presenter re-shuffle with BBC World. News 24 does seem to be tinkering around its edges - new graphics and presenters etc, but no studio or ident change? Ummm we'll have to wait and see I suppose. Any way...just off the top of my head:

BBC World presenters I'd like to see more of on News 24:
Philip Hayton, Anita MacNaught, Martine Dennis and maybe Stephen Cole.

News 24 presenters I'd like to see less of (ie shove them on BBC World):
Mike Embley, Carrie Gracie, Peter Dobbie, Peter Coe, Heather McCarthy, Martine Croxall, Chris Lowe.

I love all the BBC News presenters, but I agree with seeing more BBC World presenters on BBC News 24. BTW I think Lynsay Brancher was covering for Joanna Gosling on News 24 earlier this week! We want more of this!!!

I don't think BBC News 24 needs a studio change, it's still very new in terms of how long it's been on screen, and still manages to look fresh.

With the exception of Carrie Gracie, the rest have already presented BBC World News!

I thimk BBC News 24 need a studio change, they needs to be more atmosphere like BBC World!

After recording and watching World news on N24 I think Steven Cole is the best presenter on the BBC, although he messed up todays show!

I agree, although he actually messes up most shows..

I've been taping it too. Stephen has done the same mistake for the last two days. It begins with the opening titles, then Stephen Cole says 'I'm Stephen Cole. The headlines from BBC World', but he starts the headlines before the vamp starts. They've been using the 5 second interval thunderclaps vamp, so he's completely out of line all the way through. Its then finished off with the tag! I want them to change tomorrow, so we get someone else presenting in the morning, even though I do like Stephen Cole, he's been on all week!

I take it then that BBC World are still joining with News 24 at this time, and all the idents are being used?

I'm not saying News 24 needs a studio change or anything - just a few presenters nicked from World or indeed elsewhere. Anita MacNaught perhaps. Jon Sopel - the BBC Paris Correspondent - who has presented Breakfast, the 1 and 6 o'clock news - would be great on News 24. He was on the 6 tonight with the latest on the terror attacks. He also helped out on the 1 during the election.

I'd like to see a little more of Michelle the business presenter on world , well sometimes, she seems to keep changing between london and new york as her base!

The word on the street is that Michelle is to become a News presenter on World

I want to see more of Phil!
