Hello everyone.. Alhtough I have been lurking around TV Home for several months now, this is my first post (so go easy on me!).
First of all, I want to congratulate Asa on a brilliant site.. until I chanced upon it I thought I was the only person interested in TV presentation. What a surprise when I found I wasn't http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I just thought I would mention that BBC East Midlands news (my local news) is now being streamed over the internet, like other regional news programmes (e.g. Spotlight, Midlands Today and South Today). It is hidden away from the main site though, and to access it you need to go to BBC Nottingham News. Enjoy!
Out of interest, is your transmitter Belmont? It's the only way I can figure that you get YTV as your ITV1 Region and EMT as your regional BBC News service.
Saying that, Belmont carries Look North...
I presume you're getting YTV from Belmont and EMT from Waltham?

Which edition of EMT is streamed? The lunchtime, evening, or late night one?

I live in Lincoln, so I have a choice of regional programmes, although the Belmont signal is stronger than the Waltham. I prefer East Midlands Today, because it still covers Lincoln better than Look North despite the new Hull Opt being introduced. I'm also at Uni in Nottingham, so it also means I can catch up with what is happening in my second home city. I rarely watch ITV regional news, but when I do I usually watch Yorkshire as Central News rarely has any news local to Lincoln http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif
You seem like you're on some sort of cusp between Belmont and Waltham's transmitter areas, whereabouts do you live? I'm guessing somewhere in western Lincolnshire or eastern Nottinghamshire.
I'm in Boston in south Lincolnshire, and get Look North with Hull sub-opt via Belmont and Calendar news as my main ITV regional. You'll soon get to know me as Look North's number one fan (accept no other claims!) You must re-point your telly aerial one day to get complete Belmont and be enlightened!
Paul Hudson the weatherman is the highlight of the show!

Hi everyone - I too have been following these forums for some time, and found your discussions most interesting.
I'm also from the East Midlands (Leicester to be precise). Recently I subscribed to ITV Digital, and as a result have had my aerial upgraded and now points to Waltham (it used to point to Sutton Coldfield). I also have a little indoor aerial in my bedroom connected to my PC via my WinTV USB card, which also points to Waltham - so if I ever spot anything interesting, I will try and capture it for you

Heh, actually I very nearly ditched it because of some problems we were having with the ITV Digital Aerial Upgrades department.
It's a bit of a long story - but even so, I might as well tell you as I'm new here: I ended up having to get two guys to come to my house to do the aerial, after the first, who came late one afternoon when it was dark - failed the installation saying the job couldn't be done (which seemed strange as I was only missing one band of channels with the old aerial, and the others were generally okay except for brief break-up every 10 minutes or so). Then when I questioned it with the aerial department they said they wouldn't send anyone else out because we'd already had an oppontment, until I started making a right fuss to customer services...
