Which is basically what's Lets Dance for Comic Relief did.

Well considering Kevin Lygo has recently said axing Dancing on Ice was a mistake I suspect he's already lining up a replacement for The Voice.

It is a sad indictment that in 13 years they haven't really lined anything new up for Saturday nights that could replace XF.

They are giving the celebrity dancing format another go with Talpa's Dance, Dance, Dance supposedly launching next year. It's apparently selling well internationally. It's basically celebs re-enacting famous dance routines from movies and music videos with live performances.

So in other words it's Let's Dance for Sport Relief reformatted?

I'm still amazed that these shows are still going even though I have never watched a full series of either of them.

XF has gotten me to liken Olly Murs music because he is a decent artist. Other mentions include Mary Byrne in that small list of others who were in the competition. BGT is on the same wavelength for me in terms of having recognizable talent from media like Paul Potts, Pudsey the Dog with it's female owner & Susan Boyle. And that's it really; the rest of it to follow on from start to finish is pure rubbish.

I don't rely on watching every show that is there on ITV. I only watch what is notable from them from the media & such. I also don't recognize any of the acts from these two shows for the past few years at all.

I think another three years is probably enough to finally see it off into the sunset & no more after that.

ITV cannot lose their high viewership figures or money they get from advertising after all.

How does that roulette thing work then? It's going to be awkward if we have Fright Night on any weekend other than Halloween.

Just a hunch, but I'm not sure it's going to be entirely random.

I thought the roulette thing was a bit of a fix to be fair.

Dermot: "we're going to spin the x factor [sic]; we find out next weeks theme"
Simon on xtra factor: "as the show was going on tonight I'm thinking about the songs"

I think it's safe to say the jukebox is just being used to introduce the theme and not decide it.
