New weather graphics

For some time now we have been promised some new weather graphics.

I remeber the retired Michael Fish hinting at them and more recently on Newswatch a weather presenter told us of some 3D fantastic new weather graphics hoping to be some early this year.

Anyone know when or what they will be like?

Wasnt ITV also due some new graphics, as I think someone reported on this forum. The UK is long overdue new weather graphics, that are actually modern, instead of these boring stills all the time!

i am just wondering how these graphics will be. The weather still needs to show the fronts, isobars and weather systems of the UK so how can this be done 3D.

The most recent BBC weather graphic is the fly over shot which isn't really that good.
