Ha ha. £13,000 in the viewers competition tonight.

I hope the non-celebrity specials are live in the summer.

EDIT : And they didn't speak to the winner on air either.

Personally, I hope they're not live, that all the background music cues return to the show esp during questions 1-2, and that the questions are harder as they used to be, possibly withdrawing the clock! Hope it's a full series and not just 1 or 2 specials!

Why not just watch the episodes on Challenge then? Personally, I find them incredibly boring and slow. Watching people spend ages guessing an answer to a question doesn't make good television. Things have moved on since it first started and the gimmick of having one million pound to give away is no longer enough. It now needs the gimmick of being live and/or having celebrities playing.

I won't watch these live shows. You just know that with 3 couples, and an hour that one of the games won't be played to completion, so what is the point. As others have said, there is far too much waffle.

Really don't know why they are bothering to squeeze out a civilian series, it's had it's time, time to let it go. Like the BBC have done now with the Weakest Link.

I'd rather have more primetime editions of The Chase.

Millionaire is now applying for normal contestants, which won't be recorded but instead be live!

Well that's a different way of doing it, I guess.

Wasn't the regular version axed a while ago in favour of occasional celebrity specials?

Last night's episode was, as usual, cringy and poorly executed. Are the contestants not briefed? The last pair seemed bemused about the claxon ending their game early, much of the music was as usual wrong and even mixed together because someone obviously forgot to switch the levels down. But the biggest problem, was the endless waffle about nothing.

I hope that the new general public episodes are similar to the 2010 series, which was much better than these live episodes. It had some speed, but was also professionally done.

Although last nights programme was poor, according to the ratings it won the slot.

But the new normal series will also be live....I just hope that they can sort everything out before it goes out on the TV.

I noticed the poor mixing together of music during the show. Come on, bring back the 2007 rejigged music during the questions and the lights up and lights down music interludes!! Without these, there is not as much drama - even the ticking clock an hardly be heard anymore... Crying or Very sad

I didn't see Sunday's show but I'm already guessing it involved Tarrant talking fast, dancing on the edge of his seat, breathing heavily as if he's struggling to hold the show together.... Am I right? Laughing

This show should have ended 7 years ago when it started dying in the Saturday night schedules!

Who owns Victory Television? As they seem to be behind the production of the new Live Series starting in the summer...
