When it is live they put the least well known or least popular celebrity on last so that they either don't get a go or rush through their game. If this version was live they would have to work out which is the least well known and/or popular of the armed services and put them on last for a rushed game. That probably wouldn't really be in the spirit of the thing.
It does mean that they haven't had a viewer phone-in as well.
Which other ITV1 shows could have a Remembrance Special? Harry Hill's TV Burp maybe?

Of course they could do that anyway, within the 30 seconds. There is plenty of examples of this happening in the states on YouTube.
John Thomson and Mel Sykes.. ok Hugh Bonnerville aside, could they not have got a selection of high profile celebs for the Remembrance Special?!
Admitedly it's raised money for the army charities and very worthy it is obviously but, one does wonder where Millionaire is heading.. celebrity specials, Mothers Day specials, Valentines specials now Charity specials... what next? Animal Specials? Where Meerkats try and compete to win a million?
I hope people understand what I'm trying to say here.
It is dying a slow and painful death - why not just axe it completely now, or return it to its original premise and put it on at a time where it could actually garner viewers such as the Sunday 7pm slot (which The Cube utilises)
What I find frustating about the recent specials is how the last couple are always at the hands of time...Last night I would have quite liked to see how the couple got on after £50k considering they had a lifeline and Switch left!
Surely it wouldn't have been impossible for them to film the entire game then edit some of the filler out as it wasn't live!
Slightly surprising news during tonight's Mother's Day special, The normal series with the general public is returning to ITV1 this summer.
And just when I thought it was the beginning of the end! Though I'm guessing ITV will put any old tat on this summer while they get trounced by the BBC broadcasting the Olympics.

And the amount of waffle between Chris Tarrent and the stars is ridiculous. With six minutes to go he is just talking to Samantha Womack like she's got all day.

I hope the non-celebrity specials are live in the summer.
