While I was in Costa I was flicking through a media magaziine when I saw a article abount UKTV's pending rebrand. The New UKTV logo looks like a seven year old did it.... The U, T and V are in a scribble type font. The K looks like times with the V shaded in the middle.. some how I don't thinks your gonna like. Keep a look out for it........ I have tried to block it from my memory but from what I can remember it looked like this ... oh heavens help us.
No, I am quite sure, they mentiond the stuff about channels like UK Gold being re -named UKTV Gold...... I had to look serveral times. I work as a graphic desinger so it stood out as the poo it is. I had better be right or I am gonna like a right ****,, but I am pretty sure

What it is (and it is a very good drawing from memory) is the logo for UKTV which was one of the original applicants for the Channel 5 licences in 1995. It was a consortium of CanWest, SBS, SelecTV and Network 10 of Australia. From the look of their bid document they promised a base at Canary Wharf with in vision presentation, news from Reuters and a lot of original commissions (although whether any of this would appear who knows - have you read Channel 5's bid document?).
What is is doing in a Costa media magazine I have no idea as it was obviously a one-off (before today's UKTV was even about) - possibly just something they had on file and used mistakenly?

Not the first time, on the back of the current Index (or is it Argos, I can't remember- catalogue, they have an advert for a Thomson freeview box- and the logo from Thomson Holidays is used! Ouch!.
