New TVF homepage

Asa, you have done a fantastic job with the new frontpage. I for one thinks it looks superb. Bold, bright, and quite frankly marvelous!

Bloody hell - that was a shock coming back from MetrolPol!

First Criticism:
I think the forum boxes should all be the same size though...

I absolutely love the orange heart - it contrasts well with the blue! I hope it's permanent, but probably not.

I thought someone had hacked it for a minute there!

Will take some getting used to but it looks quite good. Bit of a shock to the system though - when was this relaunch planned ?!?!?!

It's fab, but having Media Websites and Requests in smaller boxes than Mocks doesn't look right (though the main Forum should have the largest box). Perhaps swapping the Metropol and Mock Designs boxes (making the Metropol one slightly larger) would even it out. The other thing is that there are now 3 different page styles - will they be changed to the homepage style or left as they are?

Looks a bit cluttered to me, but it looks nicer than what preceeded it. It would be nice if the image (this case a Carlton heart) alternated between old and new idents. Some old BBC 2's, Balloon or UK Gold etc.

Reading the article (link on homepage) it says the image will change every day.

As I've got nowt better to do (excepting sleep) at 4.14 in the morning, I've had a look at the other images... and they should look rather good. The balloon lives on.

Glad it's generally liked. I thought after well over 2 years, it was about time it got changed. The design is a bit different from the rest of the site but I think with it being the homepage, I can get away with it! I didn't want it to become too cluttered but it's hard when there's so much information to put across on one page.

The image does indeed change every morning and I thought I'd kick off with the old Carlton Balloon ident (you can always hover over the image if you don't know where it's from).

The original design did have the login box next to the main forum box with the other forums underneath and I may look to tweak it a bit. I guess the main forum should be seen as the main one with the rest being 'nice extras'.
