Capital TV Cardiff has now launched on UHF channel 49 in Cardiff. Its a new analogue TV RSL channel like Channel M in Manchester.

Anyone manage to tune it in?

Here is the website: www.capital.tv where you can view the channel online.

Im not sure when it officially launched, but the TV listings on the website start on 1st September, so maybe it launched then.

Im too far out of Cardiff to receive a picture.

It launched at the end of August, and despite about three years in the making, it isn't transmitting anything of local interest. It's just QVC, Sky News and old public domain movies.

The schedule looks more interesting than Channel M, at least Capital has old Cartoons and old TV Shows. For those who can't watch Channel M (that being about 99.9% of the country) aren't missing much, it's EuroNews in the morning, Channel M News at teatime, a Jobfinder style programme on 2 or 3 times a day, repeats from Canada's CHUM Networks and the whole thing is done by 1.00am.

But it's the only RSL that will be appearing on Sky Digtial from 2006, it already broadcasts on NTL in Manchester, some of Lancashire and North Cheshire.

It's not, the Isle of Wight station Solent TV will be on Sky Digital next year too.

The original RSL's seem to have more promise, with local programmes (of varying quality) - then of course it suddenly struck that there was no money in it!

I stand corrected, fortunately for Channel M this has been possible as one of it's owners, the Guardian Media Group is putting alot of money into the channel. Shame they can't be on DTT yet.
