A new batch of apparently 're-edited VH1 idents of the past' have been launched on TMF today, the old ones are still in use but the new ones are being used every so often. There's alot of pink but it's nice to see a change and the idents have more action in them like one person playing a video game Very Happy

Started in The Netherlands in early 1995, a localized Flemmish version was launched in 1997. It was independent until 2001 when MTV Networks bought it. When MTV Networks wanted to launch a new musicchannel on freeview in the UK they used the name, but apart from that the channels don't have an awful lot to do with eachother. Dutch & Flemmish TMF have presenters for example. This april will also see the 10th edition of the TMF Awards.

Well I think it's fairly fitting considering TMF has very quickly become the old VH1. I hope it won't go all the way and turn into VHr.

I must be the only one who actually really likes the current TMF idents! I thought they were fresh and interesting when the channel first launched, and I still think they are (despite them also being recycled, but I never saw them in their first encarnation so it doesn't matter to me).

What about 1999-2002? Or havent you got those?

BTW,CiTV could pick up this tip and we could have the 1997 CBBC idents with the new CiTV logo with sounds or even music replacing the old music! Would require breaking into Television Centre though,so maybe it would be easier to do with their old idents!
