New Telewest Off-Air Screen

Have a check on the off-air channels like BBC3, instead of Front Row there is a new screen saying that the channel is off-air.

Presumably either the Front Row Barkers (there was a diffrent one for kids channels) are broken or they've stopped promoting it in preperation for Video-on-demand

I think it is because of VoD there will be no need for Front Row anymore. Also the screen started last night first of all on CBBC and CBeebies. The rest that had gone off air before still had Front Row trailers. bye bye Front Row!

Its not the most well designed screen, could have a put a little more effort in! prehaps an extra 10 -15 minutes should have been enough!

But then they'd need lots of seperate streams carrying diffrent captions for each channel.

The Front Row barker only took up 1 video stream no matter how many channels it appeared on, as does a generic caption

This channel will reurn broadcasting soon.
For now, please have a look at our other
channels for more programming.

That should stop Telewest viewers switching off their tellyboxes in unison at 7pm once CBBC closes down.
