Hi Everyone,

I hope you don't mind me posting this thread but I think it is right up the street of everyone who uses this website.

I'm working on a brand new TV Trivia quiz show for Sky Atlantic. We are on the hunt for confident and outgoing people to participate in a thrilling new game show. The game show will combine the pulse racing thrill of a quiz contest with the nostalgia of the UK’s favourite television moments. Sky needs pairs of passionate TV viewers who are willing to have their telly knowledge put to the test. Contestants must be television fanatics, who know everything from their Boardwalk Empire to their Big Brother. There is a life changing sum of money up for grabs for the pair who get crowned TV trivia champions. Open to everyone that loves watching television interested teams should email:

quizcontestants@twofour.co.uk

I believe nearly everyone who uses this forum would be perfect for the show we're auditioning in a couple of weeks though so anyone who is interested has to get in touch soon.

You've never been on this website, otherwise you wouldn't be posting this.

Sky Atlantic?! Surely you mean Sky One? This really doesn't sound like the sort of thing they'd have on Atlantic.

I was querying that too, actually! Sky Atlantic, who are showing HBO imports primetime, would surely not create something like this?

The application form has the Sky Atlantic logo. Perhaps this is an early evening/daytime show.

I'm torn between "this is obviously some strange usage of the word "thrill" that I hadn't previously been aware of" and "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Besides, they can never hope to out-thrill the 24 Hour Quiz. It induced sheer panic in Barry from Eastenders on a daily basis, and he was the host.

At a Sky open-day for indies in March, Murphy called for highend UK drama and long-running factual, comedy, factual entertainment and entertainment formats for the channel’s 8pm slots, which are “epic and creatively risky”.

I guess Milly and her colleagues didn't get that memo, as this new 'TV trivia quiz show' sounds savagely unoriginal and utterly tedious. I don't see anything that sounds remotely epic or risky about the concept; in fact, it sounds like the kind of sh!t I'd expect to see wrapped around a BBC One lottery draw.

I would probably consider taking part in this new TV trivia quiz show, if I still had Sky ... but I don't. So I won't.
