New Sky Sports logo?

so clearly more than a 'few tweaks' then.
it'll be interesting to see what the studio looks like in a wide shot.

Disappointed at the lack of a live shot during that cricket interview at 9.30 this morning.

All in all, I'm pretty impressed. The music's a bit too dramatic for a Sports News Channel though. Still, it's better than it was before.

I see they're still using the 84408 number - shouldn't it be 84405 now as they moved channel numbers on Sky a while back?

Previously for non-HD programmes a generic ident just saying "Sky Sports" would be used, but now the above ident is used before all programmes.

What a fantastic rebrand. Sky Sports News is probably the best of the lot - it looks a bit like the original graphics when the channel launched.

I see the headline bar isn't working already.

These idents look very good, much more of what you expect from a premium channel!

Mind you I don't like this policy of putting the HD ident in front of every programme, even if the programme itself is just upscaled SD!

There's still a small bit of inconsistancy with the branding though.
They've got rid of the separator line/gap from the main channel logos, and yet it still appears in the HD ident, and behind the presenters on the itched glass in the SSN studio.

Sky Sports are the leaders in inconsistancy followed by BBC World lol, the logo clashes badly against the blue on their website!
