I think it'll be people watching in pubs who will be complaining the most about it, I can imagine a few places where the bottom of the big screen would be obscured by people watching at the front, so people wouldn't be able to easily see the score.
Nice idea, but I think it'll be back in the top lef t before long.

The new headline service has been crashing frequently, as Asa described earlier in the thread. Plus some confusion over graphics with stories...

Watching the highlights last night I noticed Sky seemed to have new (remote?) controllable cameras level with the goalline but high up. They provided some fantastic shots just before corners were being taken, it was much more clear who was standing where than from the 18yd or halfway cameras. I guess these will be used in "did it cross the line" debate, much more functional than the static ones last year.

The old DOG was displayed until 12.10ish when the new one appeared, but then must have reverted back after the break. As for the picture quality, I assume the new system was brought in when SSN temporarily moved studios as the picture was very clear through the night for all of last week.

The old logo is still on as I type this (12.45am), but it appears it's no longer being played from a tape, as the picture quality is far better. Shame about the DOG as you can see a red line underneath the old one.

Yes, it's overly dramatic. It's like the music they play in the background to announce the acts on a reality show.

don't like the new music at all - its something you would expect on a trailer, not 24hrs a day on a sports news channel.
