Didn't manage to watch the Super League game before but could anyone tell me if those graphics have been updated and if not are there are any plans to?
Not too sure about moving the scoreboard. I've always thought a scoreboard on the bottom would never work for football, merely because the top left or right of the screen is normally wasted space while the bottom of the screen normally has some of the pitch. The main shot could easily hide the run of a winger with these graphics or a throw-in could be obscurred, particularly in some grounds were the camera gantry was an afterthought.
I doubt it'll catch on and it'll be interesting to see if it lasts.
Also anyone fancy a sweepstakes for the first time they don't have a player's photo for those NFL style graphics? Carling Cup would be a fair bet...
I'm not a big fan of the scoreboard being on at the bottom of the screen, but otherwise all the graphics and astons seem to be a big improvement, it looks alot neater too.
Although I will miss the music from 'Afternoon Report', the new one is good and sounds more dramatic.
Apart from the new logo, nope, and I doubt they will be this season.
I don't know, occasionally they get an overhaul during the playoffs (which are 6 weeks away) and a new graphic or two in the Grand final itself, which was when Try Track was introduced, and then they'll use those for the international series in the autumn as well
Quite agree, the graphics are great and I loved them the minute I saw them on SSN and the Community Shield today.Just one thing that I dislike is the scoreboard but I'm sure that after todays match, the scoreboard will be back up where it belongs and if they want to scroll across information then they can do it with a Super League style setup.
The old logo is still on as I type this (12.45am), but it appears it's no longer being played from a tape, as the picture quality is far better. Shame about the DOG as you can see a red line underneath the old one.
