New Sky EPG

At last V1 Sky+ (Pace) boxes got there download of new software at 4am today, and the new EPG includes the "glass" sky logo and a very nice light blue background.

It's abit difficult to see the "sky" in the top left corner though against the light background. I bet they change it fairly quickly (although u would've thought the'd check that sort of thing out first)

I think that's the fundamental problem with the glass Sky logo having the same colour as the background.

BTW, does anyone know if any other boxes have got the new software? I noticed my Grundig was on standby this morning, but didn't check if anything had changed before I left the house.

Does anyone know when the rest of us Sky+ box users will get the upgrade?

I have a pace Sky+ but no new look...

Sky+ Pace V2 should get the update 'within days'

So is there actually anything new on Sky Plus now or was this big update just to change the look of the menu?

Sky+ can now access subtitles/narrative from the help button while watching TV, thumbnails have been enabled when using bookmarks. Adult channels can be deleted from the EPG. The 30sec red button timeout has also been enabled.

Not that I ever watch Adult channels (really I don't) - now they have been deleted from the EPG, how are they accessible? By simply putting their channel number? And if so, how does Tom, Dick and Harry know this?

Me again, they done something odd again at 5am today, I was stuck on channel 449 (box) with the search banner showing for 30 mins, rang SKY and they knew nothing - theres a surprise,

They denied knowledge of the download last night when they cocked up the film I was watching as well, but it was all over DigitialSpy a few hours later.

What are they playing at ?

In other words Sky+ customers now get what I used to have on my Panasonic digibox that was upgraded with this software 5 months ago! Why did I bother changing to Sky+. I may as well put the Panasonic box back that is gathering dust on a shelf now.

The Sky+ update contains features that normal digiboxes have not yet been upgraded to as well what they got in the last update.

Now, I've got a V2 and a 160, so I'm still on the really old software!

Also, gathering dust? Stick it on eBay! That's what I did, made quite a nice amount for something that was orignally free.
