What buttons are controlling things like the subtitles and narratives?

You press the "help" button and it gives you a "mini-menu" to switch them on and off.

All other new stuff is via additional system menu choices.

Interesting. A nice change by the sound of it, and good of them to listen to the viewers.

My Oct 1998 Mk 1 steam powered Pace booted up with the new s/w yesterday morning.

Has anyone else got the new software yet? My Grundig rebooted itself this morning to Ch 998, but it's still got the old software. Confused

Loads of boxes are rebooting. Don't know why though.

Forcing the updated system software to install is easy.
1 - Switch off the plug which powers your box.
2 - Press and hold the backup button on the box's front.
3 - With backup button still depressed, switch on the switch which powers your box.
A message should appear on your television screen informing you that your box's software is being updated.

Which make of Digibox do you have? I didn't think you could force the new update if the software for your particular model hadn't been rolled out yet. I should also mention that if you don't have a great signal, you can render your Digibox useless by trying to force an update.

My Amstrad (ordinary) digibox switched itself off in the night last night, so I was hopeful of some nice new software, but discovered nothing when I powered it back up this morning.
