Got this from Digital Spy. Not completely confirmed but the rumours are strong. In this report, tweaking to the EPG's background is mentioned - how about a total revamp, the Sky EPG has been the same now for YEARS!
Digital Spy says_
New Sky digibox software is to be released later this month according to information posted by a member of the Digital Spy forums.
The download will be rolled out to digiboxes from March 14th onwards and is thought to include the following features:
Blocking of specific channels at all times or only after 8pm (e.g. due to adult content) by using a PIN.
An option to highlight channels which offer audio description or subtitles.
Subtitles able to be turned on or off from the Search And Scan Banner.
Now and Next listings for the radio stations.
The ability to set the interactive symbol (red dot) to automatically disappear after 30 seconds. However when viewers change channels it will reappear but only for another 30 seconds.
Another download is also scheduled for a later date but no timescale has been given. This will include slight modifications to the EPG background, a facility to remove the adult channels from the pay-per-view listings via a menu and changes to the radio area of the EPG.
