Would be a lot tidier if they just had the Sky Sports logo in the corner rather than the whole channel name.

I think the box around the channel suffix looks off and would be better without it. Not sure if the channel suffix beside the logo or underneath it is best, probably beside it. But I think having the logo on the top left for all channels also looks better than top right. I understand why they have it on top right, but still think it looks better on the left with the score graphics on the top right.

Sky Sports F1 Dog is starting to irritate me. It shines a very harsh light on what a bad idea having no coloured box to put the word 'Sky' in, actually is.
The line to nowhere on the left hand side of the 'box' of the FOM F1 logo. Either box the F1 logo by itself, and leave 'Sky Sports' unlined and unboxed - or box the 'Sky' fully (but leave minus the background) and bring a bit of consistency and not have it looking like an unfinshed powerpoint concept.

I created the new Sky Sports logos a few days ago as I thought they would all look +some extra and custom made. I adjusted the blue to be lighter so it works better on dark backgrounds, I see now today what one of the on-screen bug/dog looks like and I dont like what I see :/ that frame under is weird. Maybe they did it like that so LIVE would fit better under it. I will probably update what I have. If anyone is interested, they are all on my Github www.tv-logos.com

I understand where they're coming from with the border on the F1 DOG, since its just putting what is on the side, underneath instead. I do prefer that layout though as it allows the Sky Sports logo to be placed (mostly) uniformly across each channel, whereas it's variable when the extra information is on the same line and the DOG is on the right hand side of the screen.

I actually think the new logos across all channels look best in their non coloured form as dogs on screen. I know they only animate on and off on the entertainment channels but they look much nicer than the ones that came before. It would be nice to think sky news can have a non coloured dog on screen once the refresh comes as with sky sports but I doubt that will be the case....

The Sky Sports DOGs do now animate on, of course they stay on afterwards, disappearing a few seconds before the break.
Having a flick through, the animation of the name graphic on Sky Sports News seems to have been altered, it's not as smooth at the moment, though that's only a slight change. Does seem that the memo about Racing hasn't gotten to News yet, the old logo being used to promote the races on the channel.

So far, only F1, Racing and NFL currently have the new DOGs. However, Racing and NFL use a Horizontal DOG, but F1 has a DOG in the style of the old ones? How come?

Well, Racing doesn’t use the same DOG design as the other channels anyway, because it has an L-bar. It was already using a horizontal logo prior to rebrand, so I wouldn’t use it as an example either way.
Action has finally been renamed to NFL on the BT Youview guide in the last hour or two. Horizontal outlined logo like the DOG (with HD suffix where applicable). No changes to other channels yet.

The SSF1 DOG is absoloutely awful, much prefer the one used on Racing and NFL, hope the other channels opt for that design over the one on F1, and that Sky will change it on F1!
