Wonder when Sky Sports UK will finally update their logo's. I assumed they were waiting till the end of the football season which now has ended, maybe they too will change on Wednesday?

Sky spent a lot of money on the last Sky Sports rebrand (which works fine I add), so it's understandable only minor tweaks , starting with the boxless "sky" part of the logo, will happen

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if we see the Rebrand very soon.

They’ve been introducing tweaked graphics since the start on the 2019-20 season, not all sports have them, but football (both PL and EFL) and rugby league do at any rate. The main changes are use of the all-uppercase channel font for player names and a different team sheet layout.

I think the biggest impact here is their decision to remove the 'HD' from their logos as they consider it the standard broadcast format for their channels. I'm not sure whether they already so this in the UK?

Yes they have been doing this since July 2017. The German sports news never adapted the current logo style and they are still on the graphics package from 2014. (till tomorrow)
