In Britain, anyway. VM owns the main Irish commercial network...

Virgin Media channels in Ireland - oh dear. I prefer the old TV3 name to be honest, VM have ruined them now with their own branding and next week they are expanding their home produced drivel, whilst dumping the popular This Morning from their schedules.

I haven't caught up with the channel lately but it's only strong with primetime content. Otherwise it's really just another channel to bolster Sky's entertainment lineup.

And with Sky not needing to use an entirely new channel slot and to simply replace dead weight smoothly, I'm now of the firm belief Sky Two won't last any longer when Sky Comedy is closer to launch.

Isn't the intention for Sky Comedy to use Sky Two's EPG slot?

When do the rights for Friends expire on CC? Could Sky snap up the rights for their new Sky Comedy channel?

Friends might expire on CC, but Sky possibly wont get the rights to show it because of Channel 5 on the platform, and Sky possibly don't want the same show being aired by a different company on the same platform

What will CC show if they lose the rights to Friends? It's virtualy all they show.
