I'm honestly surprised that
Sky Lifetime
isn't a thing, considering it would fill a gap in Sky's channel lineup that Living used to fill.
Presumably if Sky thought there was a gap in the market for such a channel they'd just have kept the one they had in the first place.
If they thought they'd made a mistake and wanted to bring it back surely they'd use the old brand which is far more well-known here?
Fair. It's a bit unusual that most of the other companies have some sort of 'lifestyle reality' channel (TLC, Quest Red, ITVBe, Lifetime) and Sky's new big channel lineup doesn't really have one, other than
possibly
Pick but I think even that's a stretch to say.
Sky's Real Lives channel (formerly Living2, LivingIt) was probably the closest 'lifestyle' offering after the morphing of Living into a less female oriented channel.
However, they even chose to ditch that in favour of Sky Crime.
Perhaps they think most women identify more with criminal psychopathy these days?

I'd like to think that with Sky's involvement with A&E that Lifetime and the remaining channels end up on Now TV either as a Sky co-brand or stand alone.

I think that's very unlikely. The popularity of Lifetime (0.03%) and HISTORY2 (0.05%) is too low to justify adding them, and although Crime + Investigation (0.19%) does better, NOW TV has Sky Crime.

Do female viewers even need a lifestyle channel? They’re no less likely to binge watch comedy or drama or true crime docs... the idea of a female ‘lifestyle’ channel in the tradition of ‘Living’ feels a little old hat now especially in an on demand era where Sky are trying to tie their proposition closer together.
That being said if they were looking at a female audience, I wonder if they may instead start looking to a more aspirational, younger audience and maybe setting up another brand primarily around scripted programming... Assuming Sky do hold rights to WB produced HBO Max Originals (which has still not been made explicitly clear), a lot of them will apparently skew to a younger female audience so a channel anchored maybe with bingeable drama like the new Gossip Girl and some of the non-scripted shows like Legendary could be a little more relevant?

According to ITV yes you do because they have ITV Be but Sky dosen't really need one because it keeps failing

Haha! I legitimately forgot about ITV Be! But again does then then suggest that sort of area is so well served by free tv that a pay tv equivalent may not be as compelling...
looks like sky news changed it's location on NOW TV'S tv guide
Yes it's moved back up, now in 4th place.
In case it's of interest, this is the order that the channels would appear based on their current share of viewers across all platforms...
