Recently signed up for Now TV (plenty of time on my hands!). One thing that’s struck me - Sky branded channels are well-presented as always, but the channels like Comedy Central and SyFy are remarkably slick as well. Do Sky have something to do with their running? Was wondering if maybe there was some sort of investment in them from Sky in order to bolster their entertainment offering.

Actually, Comedy Central was originally formed from the Paramount UK Partnership, which involved both Paramount UK Pictures and Sky, back when the channel was launched as Paramount Channel (not to be confused with Paramount Network, the current incarnation with the Paramount name). I'm pretty sure Sky also own part of Nickelodeon UK, so ViacomCBS and Sky sort of have a relationship despite Sky launching their own comedy channel.

As for SyFy, I think it's pretty obvious why their channel is slick, as NBCUniversal (Comcast) already own Sky and Sky has somewhat of a control within the channel. Their social feeds were merged into Sky TV.

Yeah, Nickelodeon UK is a joint venture between Viacom and Sky (trading as Kidsprog Ltd!).

SyFy used to have much better idents and pres from 2010-2015, the latter of which rather oddly resembles the current ViacomCBS idents for C5. It was lovely, and they changed the logo background from white to black after a while to give it a refresh . . .

Such a shame when they swapped to that awful logo inspired by a graphic designed in Windows 3.1.

How many sky logos have a black background? Sky should come up with other colours to use in their logos.

Witness and the upcoming History are the only two that use black as their colour. I’m fairness we don’t know what colour Documentaries will use, it’s the only logo that hasn’t been revealed yet.

I saw it, it's on Logopedia. Here:

It looks EXACTLY like Sky Witness just with a longer name. The only unique logo now is Sky Nature with a green background

Sky History should have had red on gold.

Is Logopedia an official source or can anyone upload? How do we know that isn’t a mock-up that’s been done and treated as genuine? I haven’t seen any official Sky documentation with the logo on it to date.

Have to say, when you see the channel lineup listed, Sky Witness kind of stands out as not really meaning anything. It doesn’t fit with the rest, which are pretty much what they say on the tin.

This sponsorship opportunity document contains the same logo, so it's likely the logo will be black, but they could change it considering Sky Nature originally had the leaf texture before switching to the green gradient.

It would need to be gold on red because of the History H logo.
