Oh dear. Not a stellar start. Oddly, Parks & Rec and 30 Rock wouldn't exactly be suitable for daytime broadcast normally. So they are going to cut the show to ribbons and not give it a late night showing so people can see it unedited? Not a great start.

Also, if you have to resort to showing episodes in blocks of 2 and 3, it shows how little content you have and how thinly it is being spread to fill up a schedule. They could have shown lots of classic comedies from 70/80/90s during the daytime hours and left the more modern stuff for prime time.

Practically all channels have double or triple bills in the daytime now, I’m not sure that’s a surprise.

I never understand why people always post the first day schedule of a new channel and then write it off based on that. You’re never going to be sitting there watching it all day.
Yeah, judge it by the first WEEK's schedule at least! That first day is a Monday, and I'd wager they're saving their best stuff for the weekend.

The Late Late Show is a Fulwell 74/CBS Studios Co-production.

The Tom Synder & Craig Ferguson incarnations were Worldwide Pants Inc. Productions, as that was part of the deal that got Letterman to CBS. It gave him control of the 11.35-01.35 programming.

When he (semi) retired, CBS Studios took more control of the 12.35 show.

Challenge used to air hours and hours worth of Takeshi's Castle on weekends, back when it was relatively recent (their "version" anyway) to the channel, so it's a trend that dates back many years to do "blocks" of stuff.

Must admit it probably is lazy scheduling to be honest but its understandable to an extent.

It's the way digital channels are though - they're not likely to get people tuning in for a daily half hour edition of a show, so when they get them in the best way to keep them around is with more of what they tuned into, so doubling up at the very least makes scheduling sense.

Many channels tend to be lazy on the weekends and just show the same programme for multiple hours at a time. Sky assets seem to do this on a weekend,same with things like Quest.

Just had a notification on Facebook that a page I like, Sky One , has changed its name to Sky TV . The @SkyOne Twitter handle has also gone saying it doesn’t exist and initially redirected to @SkyTV

Could it be an indication that Sky One may be renamed as Sky TV and Sky Two axed?

I would imagine it’s more about using one account for all the channels.
