And we now have a promo for the new Sky Comedy!
I like the neon-sign inspired branding.

It's been on TV, notably on Universal Channel for about a week or so now. Great promo and love the logo!

I also noticed the logo animation is different at the beginning. The logo flashes like a neon sign instead of sliding in like the other channels' logo animations.

Virgin Media still shows Universal on the schedule with the likes of Chicago Justice, Law and Order, etc up to 29 January.

Worth mentioning that also on Universal TV's website, which only redirects to the TV schedule now, it seems to show programmes afterwards as well. Unless this basically means that Universal TV is just being pulled off Sky and kept on Virgin? It's all a bit confusing, especially as Universal's programming seems to appear on Sky's other channels.

It will be on 121 on Virgin Media

I wonder if broadcasters continue to plan a schedule after any proposed channel close date in case it gets pushed back indefinitely? Just a guess.

So, with Sky Comedy replacing Universal Channel, it would seem that Sky 2 has a stay of execution (for now, at least, after previous expectations that it would be the channel that Sky Comedy would replace).

I wonder how much longer Sky 2 will survive? I can't see it being around for that much longer.

Is it all US content then or will there be UK originals there, or will they stay on Sky One?

Whatever they say to start with, give it a few months and the lines will soon blur.

This will usually be followed by something relaunching, a realignment and then the inevitable "floating out the window" of the realignment.

Rinse and repeat until you run out of channels to launch, then rebrand and realign an existing channel, then watch it's plan disappear out the window too...

Sometimes wonder why they bother "aligning" anything.

What is certain is that all comedy has gone from Sky Atlantic, not that there’s much of it on there anyway.

Must say I’m surprised Sky Comedy is launching on Virgin Media given it’ll have programmes that were previously exclusive to Sky Atlantic as they’re HBO productions. But they’re also about to show another new HBO production, Avenue 5 (made by Armando Iannucci), on Sky One. So it appears some HBO shows won’t be exclusive to Atlantic and Sky customers going forward?
