Nope, all channels are getting a refreshed logo in due course.

How do you know? Just asking for curiousity.

Because Sky haven’t rebranded their channels for a good few months now. It’s overdue.

So their priority is to waste money on logos when they could have spent it getting HDR HLG UHD 4K into their premium Sky Q boxes, and there is me thinking Sky believe in better!

If the graphic designers are also doing the software development then you might be in for a very long wait.

Aren't you a delightful little soul these days?

All we need is the Sky DOGs to stay on the screen.

Do we?

It's just my personal opinion.
It's common practice for the channel DOGs to stay on screen for the duration of the programme, and Sky's DOGs disappearing about 30 seconds in is a bit strange.
Considering with their other Sky assets (like Pick or Challenge) the DOGs always stay on screen, same with the Sky Sports ones.
Just a personal problem,really.

A very strange one - Sky have absolutely the right approach to DOGs by fading them out and others should follow when it comes to premium content.

You do realise its effectively a free burst when the mainstream news shows off-air recordings of the goals of a match aired live on Sky Sports?

Pick and Challenge are both on Freeview so as above they're not exactly "premium" content, they are the Freeview equivalent of "window shopping" for the Sky platform. Done right this can work really well, one is reminded of the Ftn channel that was supposedly the shop platform for the then Flextech network, but that was such a dire advert for anything it was probably nothing more than a waste of bandwidth.

What benefit do DOGs have for viewers? Why do you want them?
