A little more information on the latest ITV series which starts in September: "Celebrities Under Pressure."
To cut a long story short, it's a Celebrity version of Cilla Black's "Moment of Truth" albeit without Cilla and without Celebrities.

The Celebrities are the usual bunch from I'm a Celebrity and Fat Club (Katalina Jolie and Jono Coleman to name two.) The celebrity stays a week in the home of an ordinary family and the family must help the celeb master their challenge.
If the celebrity is successful when performed on the show, they win many super prizes for their family. If they fail, they all leave with absolutely nothing.
My opinion is somewhat divided as usual. As a fan of the Moment of Truth programme, I think the show is very good and I think it will be quite popular. The tension really does mount because the people doing the challenges are celebrities (alright, so they aren't hugely famous, but as you 'know' the person, it makes it more tense than a member of the public doing the challenge.)
Melanie Sykes is brilliant as the presenter: friendly, funny and cheerful and she can read the autocue which is all that matters really. There are a few moments when she got somewhat obscene; look out for those on Denis Norden's show.
The set looks fairly cheap and nasty, but I suppose there has to be plenty of room for the challenges to take place, so they couldn't have anything too fancy.
The usual set of challenges apply; remembering sequences, getting so many balls in a hoop and balancing things, although there's certainly an entertaining twist. I would definately suggest tuning in to the series, even if you only watch the first in the series to get a taste of what's to come. I'm not sure whether this show classes as ITV trash, because although the production costs are unlikely to be high, it is good family entertainment and doesn't carry that element of ITV kitsch.
[Also, for Des and Mel fans, I had a chat with Mel and she says that it is live, there is an audience and that they're going to be back on in the Autumn!]
