Remember certain things though, there are bits of equipment that can be reused. Such as the VCS playout systems are only a uear and a half old so they will just be put back into the studio they came out of.

The denon MD/CD players will just be re used, however there are now only 2 MD as opposed to 3 in the others, and 6 a couple of years back, prooving that MD is sadly on the way out.

While I was there, I got kicked out of a studio by Edith Bowman. That's my claim to fame.

Actually, she was quite nice about it, and just wanted into the empty studio to do a bit of prep - although the person who was showing me round was a bit of a stereotypical shoe-gazing engineer, and scuttled for the door straight away

People are reading too much into this (tho I presume the geek's comment was tongue in cheek), I think Moyles was just standing while they took the image which I copied.

According to what he said this morning the desks are on hydraulics so they can be adjusted to the right height for whoever's using the studio.... or if they want to stand up.

The contributors desk (where Comedy Dave, Carrie, Dom sit) can be raised independantly of the control desk - this morning they raised up to as high as it went making Moyles feel like a midget
