ah remember when the htv logo used to fill the screen on the production captions? well when carlton took over last year they were shrunk down a bit. When itv1 was launched the htv logo got even smaller! And now today the htv logo has got EVEN smaller again on the production caption!!!
Is there a conspiracy to decrease the size of local logos little by little hoping that the public wont notice!
The one they had on tonight clearly had the original 'A GRANADA PRODUCTION' painted out, and the new caption put over the top.
You could clearly see the old caption on the left hand side, feint but very visible!!

answer this - but ill ask anyway:
do you mean the caps for central, carlton and westcountry will go too - as (if i remember rightly) theyre squashed on widescreen productions from 4:3 to w/s - which looks silly.
if so will they have any regional variation between central, westcountry etc. or is it just for the new URL

itv1 are going for a unified look and intend to have all local programmes ending with the type of end credits that are used on millionaire and corrie st etc - so there are 'adjusted' end captions for all carlton stations - the first one was seen thursday and htv wales! where they include the itv.com/programme webaddress on the end credits and smaller regional logos on the end cap!

does anyone know what would happen if smg decided to become really uncooperative with granada/carlton? i know every region MUST take ever scheduled news live from itn - but is that as far as it goes - could they replace coronation street with the highroad and basicly be local programs 24/7 except GMTV and ITN news?
