It would be nice to see some Noel Edmonds-hosted episodes, for those of us who haven't access to Eins Festival (who had a TOTP night this evening, apparently) and, on the whole, editions that reflect the whole TOTP era - including "Year Zero" and the Peters era and regular weekly shows instead of Christmas shows; mixed in with the existing documentaries, although it would be nice to get a new one of those if possible

I understand from reading another media forum (and not the one ending in 'Spy', this one is a by invite to post only one, and all sorts of BBC old boys chip in on all sorts of topics, so does come with a ring of credabillity) that there are two reasons why you don't see those episodes on UK television.

1) There are still all sorts of sticky music clearence issues concerning performances of some artistes/bands on the show, which overseas sell-on broadcasters don't have to face, which is why Enis Festival can show TOTP pretty much as original UK TX
2) Edmonds himself. I understand that for some reason, he only allows some of his hosted shows to be broadcast in the UK and has requested some of them are not shown in the UK again, however it's not a problem if you are Enis Festival.

Love to know what his beef with signing the UK transmission release forms are. It can't be embarrasement, shurly?
