2DTV was done in a week too wasn't it? I think their downfall though was in stretching the 10-minute programme into a 30-minute slot leaving room for showbiz filler.
Or losing Jon Culshaw when the BBC decided they didn't want their top impressionist working for a rival channel. Hence also why The Impressionable Jon Culshaw only got one series.
Ironic really as Jon Culshaw originally worked on Spitting Image.
Are you sure he did? He says he did on the DVD for 2DTV, but I couldn't find his name anywhere related to SI.
He joined the Spitting Image team in the early nineties to provide the voice for John Major amongst many others.

That documentary about Spitting Image (feature the Ant & Dec puppets) showed JC in recording studios of SI back in the day. He was also interviewed for that documentary, one his first gigs I believe.
