Lets just hope they manage to keep it going as a continuous show. South Park is done in a week, so it can work over a long period,South Park currently in its 11th year!
If the voices are good, the sketches not too long, and the writing sharp, this could very well be a big hit!

2DTV was done in a week too wasn't it? I think their downfall though was in stretching the 10-minute programme into a 30-minute slot leaving room for showbiz filler.

Not unlike 2D TV then?
Perhaps this version could be called 3DTV.

Or losing Jon Culshaw when the BBC decided they didn't want their top impressionist working for a rival channel. Hence also why The Impressionable Jon Culshaw only got one series.
Ironic really as Jon Culshaw originally worked on Spitting Image.

It was an OK series, but nothing we hadn't seem before, but all credit to Culshaw for trying his best. I don't know why 2DTV was axed, I thought it was very funny and a natural successor to Spitting Image. I hope this is of a decent standard too, and maybe with more writers and voice artists - it's a bit limiting having just 4, rather than the huge amount they had on SI.

One of those pathetic BBC/ITV "your not having our star" arrangements again
Dead Ringers wasn't exactly a runaway success last time round was it, sadly

Are you sure he did? He says he did on the DVD for 2DTV, but I couldn't find his name anywhere related to SI.

I think John Culshaw doing Spitting Image was mentioned in The Making Of Kombat Opera.
Anyway, this isn't really going to have much to do with Spitting Image, is it? Especially as the guy who owns the rights to SI is immensely hacked off at ITV (and not without reason) and is extremely unlikely to let them use the name anyway.
