Sorry, I forgot there was already a thread - didnt notice it.

Just let this thread gently pass away . . .

Personally, I think this thread is necessary; as the title of the other suggests, it has been dealing with the transition of Paul from ITV to Channel 4. Couldn't this space be dedicated to the new show itself?

Yay! Very Happy

So to ask my original query again, are ITV1 showing repeats at the same time as the new show on Channel 4? If they are, can I ask what they hope to gain from this? Confused

Yes at least for the time being and more viewers than a repeat of You've Been Framed I would presume

I imagine the repeats will remain until he scheduled end of (what was supposed to be) Paul's live run. It was too short notice for the creative brains of ITV to think up and commission another show before this period came into effect, and it will probably be at least another couple of months before we see anythig new arise (Osbourne).

I've noticed in the trailer Paul use the phrase "LIVE on Channel 4", which is probably a controlled dig at ITV.

I guess the reference to the organ means "Guess the tune" returns - so I wonder if they'll up the prize from £2000 considering Richard and Judy usually give away around £7000 with You Say, We Pay!

Personally I was hoping the switch to C4 would see alot of the old features like Guess the Tune replaced with something new.

Remember though that on top of that £2000, ITV gave away a car or holiday daily too.

According to the website they will be giving away £10,000 daily, alot more than ITV.

Looking forward to Paul's return. I hope they keep the same brassy theme music but I doubt it somehow. Probably get some banghra theme like V Graham Norton.

Apologies, but what do you mean by that, as it doesn't make much sense?

I was replying to Brekkie Boy's comment that he would like to see alot of the old features like Guess the Tune replaced with something new. I was suggesting that considering the format has been popular, that it would, IMO, be unwise to tamper with it at this stage.

I was also suggesting that with an increased prize of £10,000, I would enter the competition.

Apologies if I created any confusion.

It appears that ITV aren't even bothering to create new competitions now...

The sooner ITV stop flogging these repeats to death, the sooner I'll be happier. Its driving me mad - all these banners "COMPETITION CLOSED" "PREVIOUS COMPETITION WINNER". Mad

Win a nodding Buster....or a nodding Charles Allen if you're feeling grumpy!
