I've asked this question here many time but never got a definate answer - are S4C's ratings incorporated into C4's?

Well I believe that C4 and S4C have always been combined when published, with figures for S4C only also available.

Mind you even S4C have stopped publishing these since this year -- viewing figures have halved in the last five years to about 50 000 at very best for English language programming [<2% of the UK combined figures].

Test Cricket figures for S4C always do well, but are never even near a 5% level compared to C4/S4C.

I did mean to post the other day actually - can't remember the details really but it was an article saying S4C's viewing figures were actually on the up (possibly referring to Welsh output only) and contary to previous reports, things look quite promising for the company once the traditional analogue signal is switched off.

It was in the Daily Post so probably be on the icwales site somewhere.

Hmm.

Well the viewing figures for last year suggest otherwise -- although Welsh programmes do about twice as well as English programmes, they are still falling overall for both services combined.

Whether the share in digital homes in Wales is rising v slightly, perhaps that is the statistic they are manipulating [the sample panel measurement is rather low]. There is a history of S4C mismanaging viewing figures.

I am certain S4C has a future mind you -- this is wildly off topic of course but as if it matters.

The new show is just pants. The studio they are using at the BBC is very echoey and the fact that it is just a straight copy of the ITV programme is a betrayal of the trust that ITV put into O'Grady's career when it was at a low point - bad egg really!

Stop talking rubbish. The show is meant to be similar to the old show, the new contract means that Paul O'Grady gets more creative input, which itv would not allow.
