Heather mcarthy just made that classic mistake that is so easy on live broadcasts. she thought the mike was off but it wasnt. it must have been draughty in the news centre as she said 'can someone turn that fan off' she then realised she was supposed to be reading as the news rport hadent started and she quickly finished the autocue. i love it when this happens.

Indeed, he's just about the only one on News 24 that makes witty comments with the presenters. He ALWAYS says something at :26. The others get a little dry after a while.

I heard Maxine Mawhinney shout 'Which camera please?' over the News 24 ident - completely ruined it!
Also, News 24 came back after a trailer at :30 and Chris Lowe wasn't at the desk - Gwenan handled it quite well, and then on the corner of the screen, you could see Chris run back - he might have been desperate for the toilet!

Haha, last night Heather McCarthy said 'can someone please turn off that fan!!' Trouble was, she was mid-headline at the time!
