Looks interesting, doesn't it? Will you be giving it a go? Will it be a hit attracting Richard and Judy ratings, so-so, a flop or the Millennium Dome?

What's the name of the female presenter? I can't remember....

Nicki Chapman - ex-Popstars/Pop Idol judge.

Seems like the beeb are expecting it to be a serious rival to This Morning - although it's only on for 1 hour, so it's not really the same. I expect I'll be taking a look at it tomorrow, although being a student, I don't really watch daytime telly... Wink

Thanks - the male presenter's Robert Nisbet isn't he?

Yep, that's the one.

I was surprised to hear that it's produced by BBC News - so it'll be interesting to see how that affects the format.

It is being produced by part of the Six O'Clock News team. It is not directly aiming for the This Morning audience - though it is likely to overlap. I think it will nod more towards The Wright Stuff on C5 and RI:SE (in its original newsy form) - less fashion and food, more discussion of the days news in an accessible format. Looks like it will have interactivity - though This Morning has been interactive since it launched via that old tested method - the phone in!

Hmmm, I shall definitely reserve judgement. Take a look at the website for some shots of the studio - certainly not as newsy as I expected.

You may well recognise elements of the studio from another BBC News programme...

so that's what the Liquid News and 60seconds studio looks like!!

Nice transfer from cold blues to warm purples! Not too sure about the 'blobs' with the @ symbol on them between the big screen and the main set.

Don't think you'll see much of 60 Seconds set - but the bare bones of Liquid News are being used as a backdrop, but with a 3rd wall featuring more prominently. (This is not a secret - it was featured in the launch details in Ariel!)

And it's going to be used for the BBC THREE news programme! It looks like a very nice studio. Very lush!
