The problem is that they never do anything with their dog, like CiTV,it just sits there. It is the top block of the channel 4 logo aswell.I don't know how they could animate it,but they might be able to!

I notice the DOG this weekend has become more opaque - though still sticks out far more than the last one!

I presume thats because of the point on it. I'm still getting used to it myself.
Even though there have been countless looks, the basic logo had been with us since October 98, so I think it will take a bit of getting used to.

I wonder why they changed it, rather than creating animations in a similar style to the main channel.

It is quite odd, for example the stings with the objects just spell out T4 so there was no real need to get rid of the logo. There was no need to get rid of the pink either. I found the pink fitted in quite well

So you'd like it to be more distracting would you?

Well maybe it could shrink every 15 seconds or something.

I actually really like the new DOG as it is. It doesn't need to animate. It serves its purpose as a channel/strand identifier and I don't think it's too distracting.

I agree about the idents, though - it seems like the logo was based on a completely seperate idea to the idents, as if they gave one design agency the task to create a logo, and another to create the idents. They're wasting the fact that the logo is a block from the 4 logo, in my opinion!

...and wouldn't these idents have worked so much better with the old T4 logo. I don't even think that the concept of a cheeky mickey take of the Channel 4 idents is even that apparent.

It was the last in the series of The Morning After Show this afternoon. Do you think it should be recomissioned for a second series?

Did it tried the fine line between bad and so bad it's good?

Now it's over Simon will stop 'ruining his career' and stick with Popworld

As a whole I don't think the show was that bad. It needs tweaking (my favourite word of the day it seems), but a second series would work.
I'm not sure if Olivia Lee should stay, she's nice, but it;s as though they don't get on. As for Verunca, I quite like her. If she improved her act, I'd keep her.

As for Simon, he was the only major star of the show, and he did it as well as he could.
It didn't help that the same weak features were on air each week, and the same sort of gags, but it was something that I sat and watched.

Popworld received a new look last weekend, anyone see it and got any views?

Personally I didn't think it needed new titles and graphics, it's one of those shows that could carry on forever with the same graphics

I'm not sure about graphics, but it did need new titles, as they were on about a few weeks ago, the old titles still featured S Club, Misteeq and Busted to name a few bands that have split!

I thought that was the whole point. Having an outdated title sequence just because they could!

It doesn't match the studio anymore which is a bit strange

I expect next week there will be a slightly different DOG next week on T4 promoting 'T4 On The Beach'. They did it last year.
