The "bug" or " DOG" itself doesn't bother me at all - it's when they add extra things to it like "Poll Winners Party Sunday" etc that really annoys me!

Strange that Pure T4 uses the logo a week earlier though.

That's very reminiscent of one of the original Channel 4 blocks form-ups from the 80s! Nice.

The graphics are nice enough - though they need to make the dog more transparent.

Disapointed with the idents - I though they'd be in the shape of the C4 logo then zoom in at the top to reveal the T4 logo. The way they've been done means they could have kept the old T4 logo.

It's nice though - certainly looks alot more grown up than the last look!

which includes a breakfast bar, I wonder why they've included another one, as they didn't use the old one that much, usually on the odd time that they were live and did a paper review.

And also the new style of menu, that you can't really see here as it's against the white background, but it starts with the pieces of the logo spinning (very Channel 4 1982) before becoming the new logo and then the menu comes in from the side.

Also note that they are now using the Channel 4 font, except a thinner itallic version, even though it does look similar to their old font choice of Dicot.


I must also say that the new logo has grown on me since it was launched, which is very strange. I'm still not as found of it as i was the old logo, but it's an ok replacement.

They keep doing these really annoying arty camera shots from behind the curtains, enough to give you a headache even if you haven't got one

I know what you mean about the arty shots, they're doing my head in too.
I notice today that the dog has been changed to grey, presumably as the graphics are white now, so that it can be seen. And the set seems to be a bit lighter this week too.

The endboard of popworld is also used at the end of T4. I'm not sure whether it's exactly the same or if they are different, but the at it production sequence is in a small box.

I notice the DOG this weekend has become more opaque - though still sticks out far more than the last one!

I presume thats because of the point on it. I'm still getting used to it myself.
Even though there have been countless looks, the basic logo had been with us since October 98, so I think it will take a bit of getting used to.

I wonder why they changed it, rather than creating animations in a similar style to the main channel.
