New Look SM:tv

What do you think of the new SM:tv?

I like the new show and graphoce. Better than BBC1s poor efforts and the fact SMTV arent cropping all the programmes like the BBC are.

No, but this morning they did show My Parents Are Aliens, which is widescreen, not cropped, but 16x9 in a 4x3 frame.

Which looked much worse than a 14x9 option.

I thought with the new graphics they would have turned Widescreen but seemingly not.

I dotn see why everything needs to go widescreen. Only 1 in 4 UK households own a widescreen set so I think widescreen programmes should be made in the percentage of 4:3 to 16:9 sets not just making everything 16:9 which annoys the majority of 4:3 viewers.

I don't mind having a few programmes shown in true 16:9. It's the BBC's obsession with everything 16:9 cropped to 14:9 that is annoying me. Too much of their output is widescreeeeeam! Weaaargh!

Is James2001 obsessed with widescreen or what!? Don't you have anything different to talk about???

well this is a TV forum - and widescreen is one of the bains of my existence - it's ok for films, but for news?? no point really!

Notice that SMTV2099 was just a Summer Filler and has now been replaced by Chums.

Plus, there wasn't a Wonkey Donkey, The kids are too good nowadays and guess it right too quickly.
