New Look Sky One, Two & Three

Looking at that screencap, isn't it supposed to be the letters of 'onc' - o in the n in the c?

Makes some kind of sense for Sky One but the concept is somewhat diluted by the fact that the same motif is also used for Two and Three...

Well as soon as I saw the Spring promo, with blue letter shapes in 3D, I new something was coming to Sky One, but I thought we'd get some warning.

They had been using the previous long since 2003-2004 so it was due a refresh.

I wonder if the other channels get their own letters and colours.

It would be nice to see the HD version of that...

Sky Two is green and Sky Three is red, with their own lettering making up the 3D mechanism.

Ah then I stand corrected. Nice that they bothered, maybe I'm wrong but in the old look I'm sure I remember seeing the 'onc' used in pres elements for Sky Three.

Slightly unrelated but isn't SKY THREE leaving freeview in the near future?

After watching them, they seemed very "themed" and not like a new batch of idents. I understand they aren't themed, though.



Yes, along with the other Sky channels of Freeview, as they are being replaced with the not-free Sky Picnic service.

Am I not right in thinking that this is subject to Ofcom approval first? And that looks unlikely?

The idents are quite cold and clinical...which makes a change, I suppose, in this age of live action idents. But something about them just seems lacking.

Are the idents for Sky Two and Three the same as Sky One but just a different colour?

I guide like the animation, not sure why just do!

Bring back the old NEON sky one logo - easily adaptable for Sky2 and 3
