I came across those whilst giving Gates a go... they're pretty awful.

They've taken the word 'LIVING' literally.

They're as awful as Gates was.

Hmmm, the Living pres was reasonable when Flextech/VMTV existed/owned it - now look at it! Thanks Sky...

Give Sky it's due. It's boosted a hell of a lot of life into Challenge and... well, that's about as good as it got. Doesn't really redeem them after closing Bravo and Channel One.

The Sky Living idents before these were quite nice, weren't they? I can't see how these are in any way better... I hope these plain, dull idents don't become a thing... If Sky Atlantic went down that route (probably showing the Atlantic ocean during a storm, at night, and when calm, if we're being literal), no doubt there'd be outrage here.

I don't think there was any real loss in them closing Channel One, but I'd admit Bravo was a loss.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sky Atlantic started airing program specific idents like the Sky1. It isn't like Sky have ditched excellent idents for rubbish before, ''cough'' Sky1.

Spaking of Sky Atlantic, wasn't the whole premise of the channel to air US shows (mostly from HBO) hence from "across the Atlantic"?

Recently they seem to be having a lot of homegrown programmes - sort of defeats the object of the channel name? Why not just have them on Sky 1?

I made this point elsewhere and somebody highlighted that it's "either side of the Atlantic" hence the name. It makes sense, but E4 shows programmes from the UK and the US and that doesn't hype itself up.
