New Look Neighbours

Sorry if this sounds bleedin' obvious.

The aforementioned Australian soaps have title sequences that are character based. These of course change frequently.

The UK soaps use generic titles, so therefore don't have to update. Fields are fields and houses are houses. Cheapskates.

Oh, and don't forget the addition of the Millenium Dome to the EE titles. Does that make three variations?

The current Neighbours theme needs to be shot... I kid you not, it does. The more a soap changes its titles, the more desperate they are... I figured you see, coz Neighbours is crap!

The BBC cut it because it is to long.

Neighbours is Cool and it only the 3rd Soap to make it to 4000 Episodes

I can confirm the bit in the middle of the Theme tune was cut in 1994 as I have a recording of the end titles from then and from later on that year and there is a difference.

From 1994 on, the BBC has snipped the end credits of Neighbours. They used to use the opening theme as the shorter closing theme too. The current closing theme is missing a bit of the intro fanfare, a nice bit in the middle, and a bit at the end.

I think they snip the credits to squeeze in an extra trailer, or allow CBBC a few more seconds, although it's probably also to remove the advertising. Philips, Telecom and a few others used to get a plug at the end. They've always removed the credit for Qantas and Travelodge/Mercure Hotels. RTE viewers can see the entire credits and same episode uncut.

Where can I find the full Neighbours theme?? (Just for curiosity's sake...)
