I agree with that. Though even the last short titles contained more of the music than the Twiggy and Nolan era. Didn't they just use the break sting?
I wonder if they are to change the music, and if so, how much are they going to change. Granted the current theme tune hasn't been changed since the early 90's has it?

I think they should go back to a longer title sequence again with the longer music.

I'd hardly call it an "era". Moment of madness I think!
That's a very good point. I wonder what they were thinking. Coleen may have been good with another male, or even twiggy for that matter, but even though the programme is aimed at a female audience, a male host is always a good thing.
It'll most probably be the usual September thing of new titles, new graphics, new font, and different coloured walls and chairs on the set.
It's the content issue in broadcast that is most interesting me.

I never understood why they got twiggy and Mrs Nolan to present it when R&J left. Considering they had standby presenters like Karon Keaton, John Lesley, Paul Ross and Fern Briton at that time.
They only got Fern and John to do it full time when the ratings dropped, until the unfortunate incident with John Lesley in 2002 where Philip Schofield took over.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Caron Keating was ill at the time and Fern Britton was on maternity leave although why they chose the two women they did and put them on together is a bit of a mystery.

I think they wanted to try something a bit different, rather than just being seen to be sticking in an obvious Richard and Judy replacement who would always be compared to R&J.
The trouble was they went *too* different in going for presenters with no presenting ability.

It was the dreaded and dreadful new ITV Controller of Daytime Maureen Duffy who a) scared off R & J by reducing their days - and b) once she'd lost them gave us Twiggy and Coleen Nolan . ( Aren't focus groups wonderful?) She 'departed' ( Granada speak for 'heavily encouraged to leave'...allegedly ) not long after the ensuing furore.
Can't remember where Maureen Duffy came from now - but don't think it was tv. Anyone remember?

Has anyone got the new logo for This Morning. I remember that a few months ago, someone put on a logo on the Requests forum with a blank background.
Could someone post the one before and maybe make a new one?
Thanks in advance. I'll try and upload the titles to the forum later.
