So how long do we reckon it'll be until they redo the idents so it's just one clip per ident.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see some sort of edit/update within a year.

Well, everyone said the colour picking wouldn't last and it has...

What would have made more since, having the Colour picking on the ITV2 logo.

It definitely has potential to evolve into something better, but as it is now - it looks unfinished; the supporting stuff looks more like holding slides slotted in while the real ones are being finalised.

Something just seems to have gone missing in the ultimate transition to screen.

It's the concepts behind the scenes that I'm trying to fully work out:

Hammer Time
Blow Ties (or Blow Job - according to MvM site)
Flipping Flippers?
Hot Dogs
Traffic Jam
Rock - can't see anything there
Tea - again, can't work out the links
Jelly and Wellies - what's that link?
Lifebelts on a sea of microwaves
Salad sandwiches in toasters?
PC
Paul Clark
Lifebelts on a sea of microwaves

Going by the sound as well as imagery, I'd guess this is a play on Ding / Dinghy...

Its interesting thought... what about?

* Flipping Flippers? could be flipping someone off?
* Tea a slam dunk?

I assumed it was micro waves ?

Quote:
Rather than delivering a pre-packaged set of idents, we worked with ITV Creative to develop an automated modular play-out system that assembles idents on the fly. Like a digital tombola, the system randomly sequences snippets from bespoke ITV2 branded ’scenes’. This results in over 300,000 ident iterations, or to put it another way, you would have to stay tuned-in for 36 years to enjoy every possible combination.

That last paragraph taken from ManvsMachine's website, which I posted about on the previous page.

Of all the behind-the-scenes photos, this one caught my eye:
