New look ITV2

It's coming. I promise you. Before Xmas.

Having caught a glimpse of ITV2 this morning about 9.30, I think it's great they have gone for the corporate DOG. It was about time.

So this week, the relaunches or new things are:

MONDAY
ITV2
BBC Two Idents and promo style

TUESDAY
Is this when ITV1 comes on Sky?

WEDNESDAY
BBC News Interactive Launched!

Has there been a press statement regarding ITV?

I'm only going on info read on these boards lately and also the banner at the top of the Home page.

I'm bored of the BBC '2's' already, these are vastly more interesting at the moment, perhaps it's because we didn't know what to expect.

What's this? A decent ident from corporate ITV?
Will wonders ever cease? Probably not, but BBC TWO have been outdone. First impression - I like these. (And they won't get boring, since I don't watch much ITV2.) How about better ITV1 ones, if you won't let us go back to regional idents?

I reckon they did it (the relaunch) as part of the lead-in to going on Sky. But from what I've seen, I preferred the old look... ah well, at least I finally get to watch US teen drama series Felicity, that I've been waiting three years for... it's good...

Close enough thread to talk about ITV...

Did anyone see the widescreen switching at the end of CITV? When I flicked to Meridian, they were showing it proper 16:9 while Carlton had the 14:9 bars but missing lots of the edges (it seemed blown up - not sure of the technical term!)

Didn't last long, after the end titles, it went back to 14:9. Someone on DigitalSpy reports from Westcountry that the system should go nationwide next week.
