There's currently a fault on Fiver. They are repeating The Wright Stuff without the usual "phone lines are now closed" at the top of the screen. Instead there is a rather ugly "this is a repeat, please do not respond, you may be charged" strap at to bottom. There's no DOG either.

From your description it sounds like the same strap that they use for live teleshopping and QuizCall when it is on one of their +1 channels.

A further example of five's new branding on the new Gadget Show website. I don't know what Five FWD is. Does anyone know? Not a bad website. I can't wait for the new look five. I'll miss the current presentation, but I'm confident that this will further enhance the growing five brand and channel.

Judging from looking on The Gadget Show, it probably the new name of the new Five website which I have to say looks pretty decent so far.

No news on whether Five US is getting a rebrand.

Sorry, but I can't see any differences on the Gadget Show website. Have they rolled back or am I missing something? Could someone point me in the right direction?

Edit: Found it, http://fwd.five.tv/gadget-show

I think Five FWD may infact be their on demand service and website.

Their support of OpenID is a nice touch!

Looks like Demand Five and Five will have the same branding at least!

They'll never learn will they:

Quote:
A second, 10-minute show called Going for Gold Extra will go out at 2.50pm featuring the champion from the earlier show competing with a viewer for a cash prize.

Viewers enter the competition during the main show by ringing a premium rate phone line or by registering online to get a free-phone number.

Going for Gold is being eyed as a potential regular feature in Five's afternoon schedule to replace Brainteaser, which was axed last year after a phone-in scandal.

The original Going for Gold ended in 1996 after a 10-year run in a BBC1 afternoon slot.

Also, an hour seems a bit of a stretch for the show - expect alot of padding.

I dare say the ridiculously long terms they now have to read out after premium rate numbers will fill most of the time.

Or - is it two games in one show?
