That DOG is horrendous. Far too bright... though at least it's nice and sharp, instead of a blurry, coloured mess.
On the whole, though, I think they've pulled off the "let's make everything huge, garish and in your face" refresh with much more success than BBC TWO. The break-bumpers are quite nice, actually.
The Gadget Show has received a makeover, aligning it more with the idents, but with the same music. The titles are horrendous, a horrible vortex like thing with challenge clips at the end. The in/out to break stings are good, really nice. The name straps and product info straps are not that nice, but they're alright, in every colour under the Sun. But the new FIVE DOG melts in with the competition question, so not good there, but I think the FIVE breakbumpers are all right. Overall, the Gadget Show looks cheaper, and I'd rather have it pretty much back to the way it was, minus the old titles, something better than that.
Not caught any idents but Fiver seems to have had a mini-refresh today with some new menus, ECP backgrounds and end of part graphics Still the same idea, but things like clouds floating around now too.
I like the new idents, Well there better then last set, But I don't understand why the idents don't match the promo boards or end boards (not sure of there real name)?
Loving the idents! Very fresh looking for Fiver, though it's evident they've taken some inspiration from E4, ITV2 and BBC Three. I think it's what the channel needed - makes it look less low budget.
